Disney Beach Club Villas

The Disney Beach Club Villas is part of the Yacht Club resort complex. There are only 280 units, so there isn't all the hustle and bustle that you would find in one of the resorts. Think New England resort on the water when you consider Disney's Beach Club villas!

The Beach Club has a great location, snuggled right up against EPCOT. How close? Only about a 5-minute walk, and you get to enter a special gate for guests. Not to worry, there's also a complimentary boat shuttle (the "FriendShips") that can take you to and from EPCOT in comfort.

In addition, there's also a boat shuttle to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Don't try to walk the distance, though; it's not nearly as close as EPCOT.

The transportation to the theme parks, resorts and other Disney locations is via bus. On-site facilities include one restaurant, a food court, plus Character dining.

The restaurant is called "Cape May Cafe" and features a buffet dinner. The food court is "Beaches and Cream Soda Shop" (anyone want to guess what they serve?). The character dining is breakfast in Cape May Cafe.

The Beach Club resort has several pools, but the one worth mentioning is called Stormalong Bay. It's actually a mini waterpark, 3 acres in size! There are slides, sandy bottoms and currents. Never fear, there are also quiet pools for those interested in a book or snooze.

There is also a beach at Disney's Beach Club-- nice white sand, on which to sit in a chair and watch the world go by!

Other nearby resorts in this complex include the Disney Boardwalk, the Swan and the Dolphin (all accessible by walking or the boat shuttles).

Activites Abound at the Disney Beach Club Villas

Well, this is Disney World, so there is plenty to do while you're at the Disney Beach Club Villas; here are a few:

• Rent a boat (pontoon boat, sailboat, etc.)
• Visit the ShipShape health club
• Jog or walk a .8 mile trail around Crescent Lake
• Check out the arcade
• Play volleyball, tennis or croquet
• Go fishing
• Take the kids to the playground
• Enjoy a Parent's Night Out by parking the children (4 to 12 years) at the Sandcastle Club for the evening.

The studios at the Caribbean Beach resort are roughly 360 square feet, and have either two double beds or a double bed and a sleeper sofa.

Occupancy is up from four to 8 people per villa, depending on the size. The one and two bedroom villas include a full-size washer and dryer (talk about convenient!). High-speed internet access is available for an extra fee.
