Disney Escape weddings are just that -- an escape from the everyday wedding. Also known as intimate weddings, they can be for as few as the bride, groom and witnesses, or as many as 18.

Imagine a wedding that takes place on the Seven Seas Lagoon, with Cinderella's castle in the distance...

...or maybe one on a 4th-floor balcony, overlooking Disney's spectacular Wilderness Lodge.

How about a romantic exchange of vows in a gazebo in the middle of a rose garden?

As you can tell, intimate doesn't mean ordinary. A Disney Escape wedding turns your special day into something you will look back on and cherish for years to come.

Why Choose Disney Escape Weddings?

Lovely Bride on Wedding Day An escape wedding is perfect for a couple who don't want a large wedding, but who do want it to be extra-special. And Disney World excels at making all kinds of events special!

Instead of being held in a chapel, Disney intimate weddings are held at various locations in the Disney resorts. And because of some of the sizes of the locations, you may be limited to 10 guests.

Disney Escape weddings are held Monday through Friday at the following times: 10:00 AM, 12 Noon, 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM at one of the following Disney locations:

Disney's Wedding Pavillion
Sunset Pointe
Sunrise Terrace
Sea Breeze Point
The Wedding Gazebo

What's Included?

The following items are part of the Disney Escape intimate wedding:

Two 30-minute telephone planning consultations with a Disney Wedding Coordinator

A personalized wedding website just for you, plus an online planning guide

A four (4) consecutive hour limousine charter for transportation on your wedding day for you and your guests.

Wedding ceremony

Floral bouquet for the bride and flower boutonniere for the groom.

Music performed by a violinist, for both your ceremony and the reception.

A professional Disney photographer for your ceremony and reception.

Up to two hours of photography coverage which includes an album of 20 special pictures, chosen by you. You'll also get a contact sheet of all the pictures.

An lovely two-tiered wedding cake with keepsake cake topper and one bottle of champagne for your toast. (Approximately 6 glasses per bottle.)

Two Disney annual passes for the bride and groom.

Enhancements for Disney Escape Weddings

Since this is Disney, there are enhancements galore available (for an extra cost). Just a few include:

Have the ceremony professionally videotaped

Upgrade the flowers

Upgrade the number of photographs for your wedding album

Upgrade your limo service to a horse-drawn carriage, a vintage Rolls or Cinderella's coach (my personal favorite).

Cost Estimate

Disney Escape weddings are less than you may think, especially since you are getting so much of the Disney magic with your ceremony.

Packages start at roughly $4,000, which doesn't include the costs for staying in any of the Disney resorts...and Disney does require a 4-night minimum stay for the Escape packages. However, the resort stay acts as your honeymoon, so it's not such a bad requirement.
